Treat Cat and Dog Allergies - According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ASPCA between 15 and 20 percent of people are allergic to pets. Many people suffer from allergies to their dogs and cats, but choose to keep them as a family member. This is because there are many ways to treat pet allergies who live to make more bearable with them. Allergies to pets cause irritation of nose, lungs and eyes. People with pet allergies experience stuffy nose, sneezing, itchy eyes and respiratory problems in some cases. If you love your pet and want to keep it for years to come, they treat allergies with preventive measures and medications.


How to Treat Cat and Dog Allergies


Keep your pet from entering your bedroom and use hypoallergenic bedding on your bed. This will give you area to be free from allergens whenever necessary, especially when sleeping.


Purchase high particulate efficiency air HEPA filter from home improvement store and place it in your bedroom or living room. Keep filter on at all times to remove allergen from air.


Get rid of carpeting in your home, as carpeting and upholstery fabrics collect allergens. If you must keep carpeting, vacuum often with HEPA vacuum or standard vacuum with HEPA bag installed.


Spray air and furniture with anti-allergen room spray daily to neutralize allergens in rooms.


Have someone who is not allergic to animal brush or comb cat or dog every day to remove dead skin and hair. Wipe pet down with allergen removing wipes or bapet once week.
