Treat Nickel Allergy - Nickel can be found in many metals, such as sterling silver jewelry. Some people have a sensitivity to nickel, which causes them to break into a rash. The rash may itch or burn and it is not only uncomfortable, but unpleasant. There is nothing you can do to get rid of nickel allergy. You should be aware of what you are wearing jewelry and what metal it comes in contact with.


How to Treat Nickel Allergy


Remove any jewelry or get away from metal that is causing allergy. This is first step in treating nickel allergy. If you don't get away from metal, then nothing you do to treat allergy is going to get rid of it.


Wash infected area with warm water and some anti-bacterial soap. You need to get rash clean before you can put any cream on it.


Apply over-the-counter cortisone cream. You want to look for one that contains aloe see resources . Aloe is natural healer and will work to get rid of your rash fast. cortisone will work to reduce any itching and inflammation. Apply cream every two to three hours as needed.


Consider using product like Calamine lotion. Calamine lotion will cool area affected by nickel allergy and keep it from itching. lotion can be administered by putting it on cotton ball and then dabbing it over rash. lotion will dry and harden on your skin. Reapply as needed.


Take some Benadryl. Adults can take Benadryl in capsule form, and children can get it in liquid. Benadryl is antihistamine and will work to stop itch from inside out. Adults will want to take 1-2 capsules every 4-6 hours as they have need. Children will need to get their dosage from package as it varies by age and weight.
